Asbestos 'causing teacher deaths'

Health and Safety Executive figures shows an enormous 228 teachers died from an asbestos-related diseases between 1991 and 2005. The government asserts that schools and colleges know where asbestos is located and should immediately take responsibility to remove the substance from the buildings. I find it ridiculous that the schools are not taking their responsibility towards staff and teachers seriously enough. The hard- facts are presented to them, and yet they choose to ignore...

I could not imagine, working at a job as most teachers do, their whole lives, and ultimately be diagnosed with an industrial disease, its disgusting that it is being allowed. So many people/ teachers are dedicating their lives to helping young people achieve more in their lives, and yet by doing so their shortening their own. People are dying because of this substance, and yet it is being overlooked simply to save money??
